Russian flight attendants are organizing protestsagainst the airline company Aeroflot because the company forced a gay employee, Maxim Kupreev, to enter into a sham marriage. His high school girlfriend divorced her current husband to marry Kupreev.

“‘Aeroflot effectively broke a real marriage and created a sham one,’ Alekseev said.”

Newt Gingrich’s half-sister, LGBT activist Candace Gingrich-Jones, believes Callista made her brother a better person.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon calls on African countries to end state-sanctioned discrimination against LGBT citizens: “Confronting these discriminations is a challenge, but we must not give up on the ideas of the universal declaration of human rights.”

    I can’t get over this passage:

    ‘But that didn’t stop Newt from getting her and her partner Rebecca a wedding gift.“There is acknowledgement that Rebecca and I are together, a family.” Gingrich-Jones tells the show, “But once we leave the Christmas dinner table, we are back in the word where she and I are not treated as a family.”’

    It’s a sort of Bizarro world Voltaire, where Newt’s effectively saying he may not agree with your right to say it, but he’ll politely listen to what you say.
