Via Shakesville, March 10th was the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers! The doctors who risk their lives (and often pay the ultimate price at the hands of domestic terrorists) deserve our gratitude; they’re providing a necessary service to protect women’s health, preserve our autonomy and promote our civil equality.

Feministing interviewed Sally Kohn, who is Fox News’ new openly gay, feminist and liberal commentator.

The music video for the pro-Rick Santorum anthem, Game On,” had a 4:1 dislike-to-like ratio before that featured was disabled.  Now, the video itself seems to have fallen down the memory hole.

LGBT individuals in Latin America are being elected and appointed to high office more often than ever before!     Unfortunately, there does seem to be a backlash in the form of an uptick of anti-gay violence, including at the hands of the police.

    While the AP article on LGBT rights in LatAm is encouraging, I still found myself cringing at the opening statement:

    BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Tatiana Pineros is a man by birth and a woman by choice.

    Amazing just how persistent certain prejudices are, even in basically sympathetic articles.
