Russian flight attendants are organizing protestsagainst the airline company Aeroflot because the company forced a gay employee, Maxim Kupreev, to enter into a sham marriage. His high school girlfriend divorced her current husband to marry Kupreev.
“‘Aeroflot effectively broke a real marriage and created a sham one,’ Alekseev said.”
Newt Gingrich’s half-sister, LGBT activist Candace Gingrich-Jones, believes Callista made her brother a better person.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon calls on African countries to end state-sanctioned discrimination against LGBT citizens: “Confronting these discriminations is a challenge, but we must not give up on the ideas of the universal declaration of human rights.”

*Fun fact: this quote is actually from Voltaire’s biographer, Evelyn Beatrice Hall.
I can’t get over this passage:
‘But that didn’t stop Newt from getting her and her partner Rebecca a wedding gift.“There is acknowledgement that Rebecca and I are together, a family.” Gingrich-Jones tells the show, “But once we leave the Christmas dinner table, we are back in the word where she and I are not treated as a family.”’
It’s a sort of Bizarro world Voltaire, where Newt’s effectively saying he may not agree with your right to say it, but he’ll politely listen to what you say.
does general Ban Ki-Moon sound like a jedi name to anyone else
