In response to the travesty of Limbaugh’s slanderous attacks on Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student barred from testifying at the infamously all-male congressional hearing on women’s contraception, Aaron Bady has written an article distilling what this fight is really about:
“[H]e is defending precisely his right not to know how it works (or what things like Ovarian Cysts are), and the right of those for and to whom he speaks to be similarly ignorant. He is defending his right for that to be a woman’s problem…”
WI state Senator Bill Grothman introduced a bill that would require consideration of “non-marital parenting” as a contributing factor for abuse. This threatens not just single mothers, but families headed by same-sex couples where “marital parenting” is simply not an option.
