AI: Showing Support?
By This week Ashley Paramore posted a YouTube video about her experience of being sexually assaulted at TAM (Tigger warning on the video – don’t watch it if you don’t want to hear someone describe that kind of thing). I watched the video, made a supportive comment, and moved on. Ashley isn’t someone I actualy know at all so it’s not like she’s a friend I can reach out to much. But I realized that felt incredibly inadequate. I want to be actively supportive of people when they go public with something like this because I know how incredibly hard that can be and how much nasty pushback people often get. However, I don’t really know HOW to go about being supportive.
How do you show support for people doing and saying hard things on the internet?
