Quickies: Jamie’s Story Getting Coverage, Louisiana Legislature Keeps Sodomy Law on Books, Wonderful Science for the People Episode, and Beautiful Snail Photos

Both Salon and Business Insider have picked up Jamie’s story from Skepchick about being harassed by a spammer using GoDaddy’s services. The Business Insider story is better than the Salon one, but it’s good to see this story getting the attention it deserves.

Louisiana’s legislature overwhelmingly voted against removing an unconstitutional sodomy law from the state’s statutes. The law has been unenforceable since 2003 due to Lawrence v. Texas.

Dr. Phil Plait, Paul Bogard, and Dr. Nicole Gugliucci (Noisy Astronomer from Skepchick) were all interviewed on this recent episode of Science for the People. It’s always a good show, but this episode is particularly recommended.

This photographer takes amazing pictures of snails. I just think they’re pretty.
