- Taiwan Elects First Female President – Tsai Ing-wen is the former opposition party leader, and she supports marriage equality.

- Republican Congressmen Co-Sponsors Equality Act – Illinois Representative Bob Dold has become the first Republican to co-sponsor the Equality Act, which would provide nation wide anti-discrimination protection for US LGBTs.
